Job DetailsDescriptionManager, Technology Strategic Initiatives, CorporateWork Location: National Capital Region (Gatineau, QC)Reporting to the Senior Vice-President Information Technology for the Corporate group, the Manager, Technology Strategic Initiatives will lead the execution and delivery of Technology related initiatives that supports the growth of our organization. BREG is seeking an experienced business and technology professional that has leadership experience with deployment of solutions (applications and processes for finance, commercial and operations in both cloud and on-premise infrastructure). As a member of BREG's IT leadership team, the Manager, Technology Strategic Initiatives is critical to the definition, development and continuous improvement of BREG’s project methodology to produce repeatable successful results. The ideal candidate has strong business acumen combined with fluent literacy in various technology domains. More specifically, the Manager, Technology Strategic Initiatives will:Required SkillsPlan and direct the management and implementation of multiple technology initiatives related to due diligences, acquisitions integration and deployment of new services that creates value for the business;Following best practices, and in collaboration with BREG’s businesses, define, develop and continuously evolve BREG’s project management methodology, standards and tools;Manage stakeholder relationships within the business, IT and external parties to ensure that expectations and priorities are clear, and that all required support is in place for successful outcomes;Ensures that all technology initiatives are well-defined, tracked, controlled and communicated in a consistent and effective manner;Identifies dependencies between initiatives that will affect priority sequencing and resource allocation decisions;Result oriented, hands-on management styleCoordinate resources required to deliver services and deliverables;Lead, coach and support project resources to ensure that all projects are delivered within the defined scope, quality, time and cost requirements;Provide advice and support to BREG teams internationally;Manage and regularly report on the initiatives spending, forecast and budget;Be mobile to visit, as required, BREG’s businesses internationally.Required ExperienceBachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology or related field;Experience in managing projects and implementing IT project management methodologies;Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing projects;Deep understanding of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), Waterfall, and Agile methodologies;Strong problem-solving skills;Strong leadership skills and entrepreneurship attitude;Demonstrated capability to make decisions and to gain cooperation of others;Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, manage expectations and meet tight deadlines;Strong English communication skills (spoken and written);Speaking multiple languages is an asset;Experience with international projects and/or acquisition integration is an assetExperience in Power industry is an asset;Experience with new innovative technologies is an asset;PMP or PgMP certification is an asset;
