Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Data Quality Control, the incumbent will assist Brookfield’s teams in ensuring Data Quality by performing meter data reconciliation activities, identifying errors and root-causes, and manage various accesses to third party applications and portals related to energy trading. This position offers an opportunity in the energy industry, dealing with the commodities markets (energy, capacity, natural gas, environmental credits, etc.) and the risk management concepts surrounding a portfolio of power generating assets and trades.Responsibilities

  • Verify Generation vs Revenue meter data
  • Work with Operations and/or Information Technology teams, resolving generation meter data/software issues
  • Monitor data integration PI to OATI/TRM/Power Meter systems
  • Monitor incoming revenue meter data from several Meter Service Providers
  • Interact with all Meter Service Providers resolving revenue meter data issues
  • Analyze/resolve complex meter ad-hoc data issues reported by Settlements and Generation Asset management Teams
  • Define thresholds for min/max values for meter validation and review/adjust them when needed based on historical readings
  • Execute Forward prices load verification and End of Day calculation and work the issues with IT
  • Participate in the Onboarding/Offboarding process
  • issue/revoke security certificates (as required)
  • provide/revoke access to internal tools (as required)
  • provide/revoke Market Access (as required)
  • Assist business users (unlock accounts and reset passwords)
  • Assist in the security certificate renewal for different market portals
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience;
  • Experience in the Energy Marketing industry is an asset
  • Knowledge of Excel, ETRMs and Alteryx is an asset
  • English essential; Bilingualism (English and French) an asset.
  • College degree in Information Business Administration, Technology, or a related field;
