SIGN-ON BONUS: $1,000This full-time position is based out of St. Margaret’s, NB, you will be performing a variety of tasks, including preventive maintenance and repairs to rolling-stock (tractors, loaders, forklifts, trucks and implements). Your work includes: oilamp; filter changes; weldingamp; fabrication; basic 12amp; 24 volt electrical troubleshootingamp; installation; hydraulic hose repair;etc. Applicants MUST:

• Work in a safe manner and display a good attitude.
• Have reliable transportation and be capable of working overtime.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Maintain a neat, safe work environment.
• Be capable of working in a noisy, dusty environment and in cold and hot conditions.
• Be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Be a licensed Heavy Equipment Mechanic OR be a recognized apprentice in the trade OR be able to demonstrate proficiency and experience in the trade.
• Meet minimum performance standards, including pre-employment testing (theory and practical).
• Be capable of climbing safely in and out of heavy equipment.
• Be able to speak, read and write in ENGLISH and be able to communicate well.
• Not have restrictions limiting one’s ability to properly wear Personal Protective Equipment.
• Provide a CPIC (Criminal Record) Check. Note: This is NOT a requirement for current Scotts Associates.

Applicants MAY have to provide a driver’s abstract (driving record)Normal shifts, during production season, are 7:00 to 16:30 Monday to Friday, with compulsory overtime coinciding with bog operations (weather-dependent), which could run into evenings or on weekends.. Double-time pay on Sundays.Bilingualism is an asset, but not a requirement.This is a UNIONIZED position.
