First Onsite is seeking to hire a full-time Water Damage Technician to save the day for our residential and commercial customers as the first responder for water-related emergencies. If this sounds like the opportunity for you, apply today!A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A WATER DAMAGE TECHNICIANAs a Water Damage Technician, you are the first responder to commercial and residential properties when water disasters strike. You #39;re the calm after the storm, and your helpful demeanor eases the worries of our customers. Stabilizing, cleaning, and placing drying equipment, you prepare for restoration. Once you arrive at customer locations, you manage onsite emergency response activities including pumping water, clearing carpet, removing drywall, mitigation, etc. You set up deodorization, negative air, ozone, thermal fogging, and related equipment. Monitoring the drying process, you adjust equipment as necessary.Your excellent communication skills assist you as you work collaboratively with construction and content crews. Health and safety are important to you which is why you respect all policies and procedures and ensure that they are followed by other employees and subcontractors. You are a get-it-done person who likes to be active and isn #39;t afraid to jump right in and make things happen. You take pride in your work and feel good about being able to save the day for people in our community while helping us build a loyal customer base!QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience in the construction or restoration industry (relevant cleaning experience may be considered)
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Availability for scheduled on-call and after-hour shifts
  • Valid Drivers License (No restrictions)
  • Work activities may include physical labour, material handling and lifting, climbing ladders, wearing a respirator, and working in tight spaces (attics, basements, and crawlspaces)
