Job Description

POSITION: Welder FabricatorJOB TYPE: Full TimeLOCATION: Grande Prairie, AlbertaJOB SUMMARY:The Agency is assisting in the confidential recruitment of a full time Welder Fabricator for a local to Grande Prairie company. The ideal candidate will have experience in metal fabrication and welding, particularly within the oil and gas industry. This role involves working in a shop environment to create and assemble components that meet their high-quality standards.RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Fabrication skill with knowledge of many techniques and tools (laying out, cutting, fitting, measuring and welding metals)
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements
  • Assemble and fit components according to project specifications
  • Conduct quality inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and regulations
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects on time and within budget
  • Troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues as they arise
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Journeyman Welder or 4th-year Welder apprentice
  • Proven experience as a welder fabricator, preferably in the oil and gas sector
  • Strong understanding of welding techniques and metal fabrication processes
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members, supervisors, and other personnel
  • Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to safety, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic
