Job Description

Our client is a respected and globally recognized developer of innovative and sustainable chemical technology and products, servicing multiple industries including oilamp; gas, manufacturing, and construction, minimizing impact on our environment. They are looking for an experienced Chemical Mixer/Operator to support the team as they set up the new line at their chemical manufacturing facility in Grande Prairie.   • Responsible for the bulk blending process including mixing and filling totes.
  • Loading and unloading products from chemical trucks.
  • Performing preventative and routine maintenance.
  • Ensuring equipment and materials are utilized efficiently.
  • General housekeeping of the facility as required.
  • Responsible for reporting equipment malfunctions and maintaining consistent communication with Team Lead.
  • Following through with required document reporting, safety protocols, and ISO certifications.
  • Reporting any near misses, incidents, operating variance, or other safety issues to Management.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a related field is an asset, ideally with chemical blending.
  • Mechanical aptitude, with the knowledge or willingness to learn about the chemical production process.
  • Self-motivated, able to multi-task, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills with the willingness to work in a team environment.
  • First Aid, CPR, and H2S certification is an assets.
  • Ability to lift 45 lbs.
  • Must be able to pass a mask fit test.
  • Must be available to work overtime and on call.
