General - Job Title: CSG Character Rigger- Type: Temporary- Level: Mid-Level- Location: Vancouver, BC- Workplace: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote- Duration: ASAP to 18 months, no chance for extension2. Summary of the opportunity- Client Overview: The Coalition is a Vancouver-based game development studio dedicated to pushing the Gears of War franchise to new heights.- Role Summary: As a CSG Character Rigger, you will be responsible for rigging game assets to conform to technical guidelines, troubleshooting issues, and working closely with the Rigging Lead to bring the artistic vision to life.4. What are the key responsibilities- Work closely with the Rigging Lead to create rigged assets that meet technical guidelines.- Seek feedback from peers and art leads, and follow direction from the Rigging Lead.- Troubleshoot and fix content issues, and test assets on the target platform.- Participate in meetings to effectively communicate with the team.- Meet project deadlines and milestones set by project leads.- Document new rigging tools, techniques, and workflows as required.- Be a positive and creative force in the team.5. What experience are we looking for to drive success- MUST-Have Skills and Qualifications: - 3+ years as a professional rigger or equivalent experience. - Proficient with Maya and a high capacity to learn new tools and processes. - Knowledge of human/animal anatomy and clean skinning practices. - Passion for the gaming industry and understanding of industry trends. - Proactive work ethic and problem-solving skills. - Prepared to learn in-studio workflow and tools.- Preferred Skills and Qualifications: - Experience with Unreal Engine 5. - Python scripting knowledge. - Experience with MotionBuilder. - Knowledge of cloth or simulation.6.
