In Canada, our communities stretch across the Greater Toronto Area, as well as in Ottawa, Calgary and Edmonton.What We OfferThe GTA Urban Division is embarking on a journey to take our experience and leadership as a “community builder” to the next level to create the next generation of high rise and mixed-use urban communities.Reporting to the Warranty Service Manager, the Assistant Warranty Manager is responsible for assisting with the day to day operations of warranty service and homeowner service requests as part of achieving the Mission to provide The Best Homeowner Experience.Responsibilities

  • Share in the responsibility of managing day to day to warranty operations and team
  • Assist in management of 30 day and Year-End Warranty Service Requests (W.S.R.)
  • Inspect and review incoming Tarion 30 day and Year-End service request forms. Attend Customer’s home where required to evaluate deficiency.
  • Inspect work completed by customer service representatives based on an agreed upon schedule and provide ongoing guidance and technical support / advice
  • Assist in monitoring, ordering and ensuring proper stock of service repair materials
  • Collect and review completed W.S.R.’s from service appointment and provide information to Community Coordinator – Warranty for any follow up work days if required
  • Regular daily visit to Warranty Technician appointments to monitor progress and to maximize opportunity to strengthen relationship with customer
  • Participate in all Community Mattamy University sessions.
  • Meet daily with Warranty Service Manager to review outstanding W.S.R.’s and other construction / warranty service issues
  • Conduct H/O and QA inspections when workload is beyond capacity of dedicated H/O, QA staff
What You Bring
  • College diploma or a combination of post-secondary education is preferred
  • 3 years of experience in a New Home Technician or Warranty Coordination based role. Strong preference given to those with strong customer service skills and team lead experience.
  • Previous multi-story condominium experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills particularly in Microsoft Office. Experience using JDE would be an asset.
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage variable workloads in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to resolve problems effectively and deal professionally with irate/upset customers.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written to convey appropriate response and build relationships with our customers.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be flexible to travel to assigned projects across the GTA and Toronto Area.
