Job Description

We offer a complete range of pest control services and solutions for residential properties, including common pests such as rodents, flies, stored product insects, biting insects and birds to other kinds of wildlife.Responsibilities:What do our Payroll Specialists doThis position is responsible for processing large payroll cycles, that includes management of the prevailing wage and certified payroll processes.This position will be a subject matter expert for all Provincial wage and hour requirements and identify and actively remediate the risks. This role will alsoprovide technical expertise for UKG/UTM and develop processes to eliminate manual areas of work.Essential Duties and responsibilities, listed but not limited, below:

  • Process Canadian bi-weekly payrolls, using various legacy time systems, review and assure accuracy of employee Paid Time Off and other related calculations as needed
  • Input data into an automated system related to payroll, timekeeping and personnel information to maintain accuracy and update records
  • Verifies payroll documents and reports for accuracy and adherence to legal mandates, policies and operational guidelines
  • Responsible for completing reconciliations for each payroll, including but not limited to tax withholding accounts
  • Responsible for assessing existing processes and remediating areas of risk
  • Provide technical expertise for UKG/UTM platform and move migrate manual processes into systemized processes
  • Responsible for quarterly and year-end processes including the preparation, reconciliation and distribution of T4 earnings.
  • Monitors regulatory environment and ensures that the payroll processing compliant
  • Provides technical expertise for UKG/UTM platform and transition manual processes into systemized processes.
Experience, Education, Skills & Qualifications
  • At least 5+ years of experience with Ultipro/UKG payroll and KRONOS/UTM timekeeping systems.
  • Certified Payroll Professional Certification required
  • Expert knowledge and demonstrable capabilities with Ultipro/UKG and Kronos/UTM.
  • Proven ability to run multiple payrolls with multi-jurisdiction taxation, on-call pay, incentive and commission calculations.
  • Expert payroll processing knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of Provincial wage and hour regulations and federal, state and local pay regulations
  • Thrive in a fast paced and changing environment while maintaining focus on delivering payroll and corresponding deliverables, i.e. weekly pay register and deduction reconciliations as well as tax withholding reconciliations.
  • Ability to work independently setting own priorities and objectives with leadership support.
  • Skilled at focusing on desired results, determining what is important and urgent, identifying next steps, and effectively meeting deadlines and achieving desired results.
  • Ability to maintain highly confidential information.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively present to and facilitate both large and small groups.
