Job Description

Quality Homemakers Canada (QHM) Home Care Marketing Liaison Role Requirements: As a QHM Home Care Marketing Liaison, you will be responsible for helping research, build and develop a Referral Provider Network for Quality Homemakers Canada, to help facilitate and generate referrals for our PSW (Personal Support Worker) services. This type of referral network would be created through building strong relationships with independent clients as well as facilities/areas/organizations presenting strong care opportunities, requiring PSW services.These care opportunity facilities/areas/organizations would encompass institutions such as retirement homes, long term care homes, other independent and assisted living facilities, as well as potential clients within those institutions. Other care opportunities for referrals are also found through public healthcare institutions including hospitals, discharge services, as well as community social services, and private case managers. You will focus on building relationships with these care opportunities within the GTA (greater Toronto Area). This position requires an individual who ideally has relationships in these communities, and is highly motivated, results driven, and able to develop and build strong, lasting relationships.Overview of Major Role Responsibilities include:

  • Generate referrals for PSW services by building relationships with retirement homes, long term care homes, other independent and assisted living facilities, healthcare facilities, discharge services, and other community resources.
  • Call on physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, discharge planners and case managers.
  • Create, build, and maintain client relationships.
  • Conduct market analysis; develop sales strategy, goals and plans.
  • Conduct sales calls, and evaluate results and effectiveness of sales activity. Specifically performing various phases of the consultative sales process, including preparation and documentation of cold calls, follow-up calls, referral source and client needs, recommendation of appropriate Quality Homemakers Canada services and additional community resources, maintaining and nurturing existing referral accounts, including follow-up, as necessary.
  • Support business development activities and help establish strong relationships with new and existing referral sources.
  • Developing and maintaining knowledge of the Quality Homemakers Canada brand.
Effectively presents Quality Homemakers Canada marketing materials and services to referral providers, including 1:1 meetings, as well as planning, arranging and conducting formal group presentations to referral providers.
  • Foster business referrals and referral- based contacts
  • Increase brand awareness by networking and hosting events
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls; presentations; closed sales; and follow-up activities within the assigned territory, including the use of software to maintain accurate records to maximize territory potential.
  • Develop a database of qualified leads from referrals through face-to-face cold calling on referral providers, email, telephone and Web.
  • Use professional sales strategies and complex methods to close sales and develop partnerships.
  • Conduct Service Inquiries and Care Consultations as needed following the consultative sales process
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
Qualifications
  • At least two years of recent marketing/sales experience, ideally in the home care industry, long term care industry, assisted living industry, hospice, and/or other healthcare related industries.
  • Formal sales training.
  • The ideal candidate will have established healthcare/homecare contacts and be able to readily network in the community.
  • Excellent selling skills to appropriately represent the company to the targeted referral sources.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement a sales and marketing plan.
  • Ability to travel within assigned territory and to sales meetings as required by job.
  • Demonstrate a high confidence level to interact with health care professionals at all levels and committed to excellent customer service.
  • Evidence of achieving referral goals within the market.
  • Able to hold yourself accountable for meeting activity and sales goals.
  • Proven success closing sales and maintaining accounts
  • Attend and host networking events. Must be able to attend and host after hour socials and sales events.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Valid Driver’s License, auto insurance and access to own vehicle
