Job Description

Job descriptionReports to: Field SupervisorSummary of the job position: Working under the supervision of the foreman, Technician will be working in team environment on planning, execution of Roof Top and Tower projects. Our mission is to provide services that are performed safely in a professional manner and demonstrate a high standard of quality for our clients. If you are ready to contribute to a team environment and have the necessary skills, this opportunity is for you.Responsibilities· Antenna installation/modification, mounting and removal along with RET systems· Installing, terminating, repairing, replacing, and testing all aspects of a wireless communication site including connectors and steel on towers and rooftops· Perform tests equipment to locate transmission faults and analyze and record test results· Sweep testing

  • Work with steel and climb towers
  • Read and interpret plans or diagrams and perform required work
  • Transport , maintain cargo and/or equipment in a safe organized manner
  • Must be hands on, operate power tools, equipment when needed
· Completes necessary paperwork and related documentation as required by Foreman
  • Will perform all other duties as required by Foreman
· Possibly run the site in case Foreman not on site· Extensive travel throughout the GTAQualifications
  • Valid drivers G license with a clean driver abstract along with criminal background check
  • Proven understanding of and experience with telecommunications equipment, cables, and hardware
  • Tower, antenna, and RF cable installation experience is preferred but not required
  • Telecom troubleshooting experience preferred but not required
  • Must possess and exhibit strong safety acumen and demonstrate safe work practices.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment.

  • Maintain a professional working relationship with co-workers and clients
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with managers, peers, and clients and maintain excellent communication between members of the team and clients

Physical Requirements
  • Hear and distinguish emergency signals and instructions while on duty
  • Must be able to repetitively sit, lift (50 pounds repeatedly), stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach and crawl
  • Must have physical strength and stamina to work outdoors and standing for extended periods.
  • Able to work in a full body harness on rooftops and / or towers
  • Must be able to climb ladders, and work from stationary platforms from elevated heights
  • Must be capable of working extended hours and variable shifts

  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Working at heights training
  • Working at Heights Rescue
  • Certification in tower climbing and Fall Protection
  • LOTO
  • Riggers
  • RF Safety Awareness
