Job Description

Your leadership style influences and encourages the emergence of top performing sales teams. The combination of your high level of interpersonal and customer skills ensure your assigned district is running with operational excellence, supports our brands, and meets their business goals.In your role as, District Manager, you will be expected to influence, support and encourage the emergence of top performing sales teams while delivering on District sales and operational targets/objectives. You will ensure your district is running with operational excellence, supports our brands, and meets their business goals. Acting as a liaison between the head office, support team and the field teams you will support facilitation of store visits, team calls, District workshops and National sales meetings.Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day to day area administration of the operation including field visit reports, operational health checks, communications to the team, payroll processes, performance management, inventory reconciliation and HR related activities
  • Maximize store profitability by driving sales results and ensuring operational excellence to lower overall cost of acquisition
  • Identify, analyze, and manage sales trends within your district to maximize opportunities
  • Drive and prioritize sales and profit in your identified district by creating a sales plan
  • Achieve key business objectives as determined by your sales director including sales, reviews, client experience and operational compliance
  • Develop and execute strategies for underperforming locations and individuals promptly
  • Plan, monitor, appraise, review team contributions consistently
  • Conduct performance reviews within mandated timelines
  • Communicate clear expectations and hold the store teams accountable to achieving brand, performance and behavioural standards
  • Coach and follow through with progressive discipline of underperforming or behavioral issues
  • Validate all district training and coaching programs are completed as required
  • Ensure all locations are staffed appropriately according to the established guidelines by being proactive
  • Manage and coach all Store Managers and Assistant managers to enable career development and succession planning
  • Responsible for retention and management of defined turnover rates
  • Ensure all kiosk locations are held accountable for inventory count and security concerns
  • Create an environment of success by influencing behaviour to develop and strengthen the sales culture within your area
  • Be a champion of our brands as well as our partners
  • Respond in a timely manner to all internal and external communication
  • Recommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product, packaging, and service changes
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and DM development programs.
  • Provide support to the Account Managers of our clients and their field teams, participate in special projects as needed
Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent
  • Strong management, coaching and leadership skills, developed in a retail organization and preferably within the wireless or electronics sector
  • Proven clear understanding of sales and customer service fundamentals
  • Multi-unit management experience, previous management of a remote workforce an asset
  • Basic understanding of the fundamentals of recruitment
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Details oriented and results focused individual with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities with a demonstrated sense of urgency
  • Sales and Merchandising experience an asset
  • Effective organization and planning skills with the ability to organize and schedule people and tasks, develop realistic action plans within time and resource constrains
  • Effective decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • An understanding of merchandising a retail location to drive business
  • Proven and genuine ability to drive sales, inspire and engage work teams
  • Ability to manage area budgets, forecast sales and retail metrics, set goals for your stores and team
  • Travel as per business need
  • Ability to lift and carry 30-50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to sit in a car for extended periods of time
  • Ability to turn, bend, walk frequently
  • Car required
