Job Description

Miles HR has an opportunity for a part-time, 2 days a week Accounting Assistant.The ideal candidate will have strong Quickbooks Online experience combined with accurate data entry and payroll.Reporting to the Accountant/Bookkeeper you will responsible for preparing all documentation and inputs for month ends.Duties:

  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of financial transactions
  • Process invoices, payments, and expense reports
  • Data Entry of accounts payables and receivables into Quickbooks
  • Data Entry of credit card transactions into Quickbooks
  • Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks
  • Produce Salaried payroll
  • Other accounting duties as required
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years recent accounting assistant experience
  • Certification/ Diploma in accounting an asset
  • Proficient using Quickbooks Online
  • Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in data entry and ability to work with numerical data
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial services
  • Produces accurate work
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce work on time
  • Friendly, flexible attitude
