On behalf of our client in Vancouver, Ignite Technical Resources is looking for Business System Analyst with our client for a Full-time permanent role.Summary of Role:Business System Analyst role is pivotal for sustaining the platform #39;s functionality and integrity. Responsible for managing sustenance requirements, this position analyzes impacts on Destiny One and downstream integrations, ensuring minimal effects on the system. Estimating efforts to handle changes is key to maintaining security per client’s standards, guaranteeing platform stability and compliance. Integral to this role is the coordination of testing, vendor management, Change Management, Training, and Communications Support.Through managing patches, and changes, and upholding security and privacy, this position safeguards the platform #39;s stability, ensuring seamless operations and alignment with client’s standards. • Plan and lead analysis of business needs and develops overall strategies.
• Provide expertise in the areas of business process discovery and definition, requirements definition, analysis and design, configuration, implementation, testing, training, facilitation, and documentation to deliver and sustain enterprise solutions, specifically Destiny One and all related enterprise applications.
• Document current state business process, capture issues and opportunities and understand proposed future state, identifying gaps to achieve that state to sustain Destiny One and ensure its optimal functioning.
• Develop business requirements documents, solutions requirements documents, functional requirements.
• Partner with architects in the creation of current and future state architecture.
• Collaborate with integration architects to design integrations.
• Accountable for the collaborative effort of multiple teams across business and IT units to problem solve technical issues for the Destiny One platform, related integrations and ecosystems.
• Ensure solutions are consistent with the overall technical and business architecture of the university and complies with the IT and policies, as well as governmental legislations and other external entities’ compliancy requirements on security, privacy and accessibility.
• Develop and demonstrate expertise in the use of the Destiny One platform both through training and self-driven investigation.
• Lead analysis of institutional data that are across multiple platforms such as Finance and HR System, Tuition Wavier System, LT Systems and systems external, and designs processes and procedures to resolve data quality issues.
• Manage new releases of Destiny One to efficiently roll out new features, responsibilities will include review of release notes to identify features that may meet business needs, perform fit-gap analysis, use project management methodologies to design implementation plan.
• Provide subject matter expertise to inform the strategic planning of the Destiny One platform.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of BSA exp.
• Experience with the traceability, requirements and issue tracking systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge and proven experience in producing BRDs, use cases, user scenarios, user stories, BPMs.
• Must have demonstrated combination of knowledge and experience in the IT project lifecycle including project management, business analysis, development, quality assurance, change management and related disciplines.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to provide creative solutions to problems and business challenges.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
• Proven knowledge and continuous learning of business analysis discipline and best practices.

Nice to have:

• In-depth knowledge of Destiny One or other student information system is an asset.
