Job Description

The Director, Cybersecurity is responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy and controls framework and providing oversight and direction to IT and OT Management across all Lundin operations.This role ensures that cybersecurity risks are minimized by appropriate defenses and that any attacks are detected, defended and cleaned. The Director, Cybersecurity is also responsible for verifying that changes to the company’s systems meet defined criteria for security and rejecting or ordering changes to meet security requirements.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement a comprehensive Enterprise Cybersecurity strategy.Ensure program resiliency by benchmarking against industry trends, security frameworks and thought leadership from external security analysts.Provide oversight and direction to IT and OT Management across Lundin’s Enterprise to ensure that Business Applications, IT and OT Infrastructure and Operations Technologies are implemented and maintained.Develop and implement a comprehensive cyber threat program for the Prediction, Prevention, Detection and Response to threats.Develop a culture that stays current on the latest cybersecurity trends, emerging technologies, threats, and incorporate appropriate safeguards into Lundin’s Enterprise Cybersecurity Program.Develop, implement, and oversee enforcement of security policies, procedures and work plans based on industry best practices.Assess and manage security operations (SOC) in partnership with external vendors, and ISMs to provide continuous improvement in monitoring and reporting security incidents.Develop and implement cyber security awareness and training program in partnership with functional stakeholders.Review changes to the company’s systems against defined criteria for security and reject or order changes to meet security requirements.Monitor recent cyber threats and provide proactive solutions to mitigate risk.Provide advice and educate management teams of latest breaches and security threats on their relative importance, risk and financial impact.Ensure that effective IT controls are in place and maintained across the enterprise.Develop an audit plan in partnership with Lundin’s corporate IT audit team and ensure audit gaps are remediated in a timely manner.Required Skillsamp; Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field of study or equivalent work experience.7+ years of progressive IT experience with at least 3 years leading cybersecurity programs.Experienced in cyber security strategy development, execution, and project management in a matrix organization within IT and complex OT environments. Proven record of successfully leading collaborative working groups across various functional teams.Experienced in Data Classification, Data Loss Prevention, network and system security, and Next Generation threat protection solutions.Experienced in collaborating and preparing detailed and executive level proposals and effectively presenting ideas to senior management.Certification – CISSP or CCSP or CISM or equivalent.Experienced in cyber security frameworks like NIST, COBIT, ISO 27002.A thoughtful leader with a collaborative leadership style, can-do attitude, and innovative mindset, with the ability to motivate and influence.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact and build trust across all levels of the organization.Strong leadership and change management skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills will be an added advantage.About Lundin Mining:Lundin Mining is a diversified Canadian base metals mining company with operations in Brazil, Chile, Portugal, Sweden and the United States of America, primarily producing copper, zinc, gold and nickel.
