Company Description:Shivani Wells-Shaw Clinical Counselling is a private practice based in Downtown Vancouver that focuses on treating trauma-related symptoms and a wide range of mental health issues. Our diverse team of therapists strives to work from a trauma-informed, feminist, LGBTQ2+ affirming, anti-racist lens, and to create brave therapeutic spaces where clients can feel welcomed, respected, and seen.Our clinic takes care of the business and marketing side of the practice so our therapists can focus on their clinical work. We respect our therapists #39; needs for work-life balance, flexible schedules, and prioritizing their own mental health. We encourage our therapists to pursue continuing education and we support the advancement of clinical skills through group case consultation. We understand that working in private practice can be isolating, so we foster a team dynamic through gatherings and meetings.Job Description and Responsibilities:We are looking for a part-time Registered Clinical Counsellor or Registered Social Worker to join our team. We welcome therapists of all cultural backgrounds, orientations, and gender expressions to apply. The right candidate must:

  • Be available to see clients in person at our Downtown office on evenings and/or one weekend day.
  • Have proficiency in EMDR therapy
  • Specialize in treating trauma-related symptoms
  • Be available to see a minimum of 8 clients a week, in-person and online
  • Respond to new referral emails within 24 hours on weekdays
  • Attend team meetings and present cases for peer consultation
  • Be organized and self-motivated
  • Have clear, responsive, and professional communication with staff and clients
  • Want to be a part of a team dynamic
  • Maintain up-to-date clinical records
Required Qualifications:
  • Master #39;s degree in Counselling Psychology or Master #39;s of Social Work
  • Registration in good standing as an RCC, CCC, or RCSW/RSW
  • Minimum 3 years of post-Master #39;s experience
  • Basic Level EMDR Training
  • Experience working with adults with a broad range of mental health presentations
Assets:
  • Advanced EMDR training in complex trauma and dissociative disorders, etc
  • IFS training
  • Somatic training
  • CVAP provider
  • ICBC provider
