These elements truly make BBA a great place for a long and prosperous career!A dynamic leader of a growing team of engineers and technologists of around 20 resources who are located across the province Oversee department activities and ensure proper resource utilization and forecasting. Utilize your expertise for both project work activities for our clients and management of your department. Lead and manage change within your department as the company goes through significant growth. Develop a vision and strategy for the growth and solidification of BBA in the marketplace.The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include Strategyamp; VisionHave a vision and plan to lead their department as a leader in the Field Services sector in British Columbia. Actively participate as a strong entrepreneur in business development by finding opportunities and recruiting clients and new employees. Promote cross selling through new and existing clientele Participate in and prepare proposals. Develop business relationships that will favour continued repeat business. Support promotion of BBA’s High-Voltage Field Services, internally and externally. Communicate BBA #39;s vision and strategic orientation to the department. Help achieve the company’s objectives and develop the department’s operational plan based on BBA #39;s strategic orientations. Foster creativity and innovation in department-specific methods as well as the development and use of design tools. Recognize industry trends and be able to act quickly to make the department ready to peruse opportunities.Technical Project DeliveryManage projects – technical, people and/or commercial. Monitor project performance. Develop and measure corrective actions. Participate in projects and provide technical direction in projects Carry out planning and the active management of work assignments jointly with Team Leaders and Project Managers to fulfill project requirements. Ensure quality service to clientele to elevate BBA’s brand and to develop strong relationships with clientele aiming to preserve BBA’s professional image. Participate in developing and implementing standard work methods. Plan, manage, and control technical and commercial risks. Ensure effective inter-team, inter-departmental and inter-office coordination. Work with clients to develop long term strategies for the success for programs of work.People ManagementFoster a culture of having fun at work while producing work of high quality that contributes to the technical development of employees professional work. Manage and engage the department to maximize their potential. Lead and develop the department’s current Project and Technical Leads while supporting the development of future technical, project and people leaders.. Lead the recruitment and hiring of qualified personnel and facilitate a robust onboarding program. Identify strategies to engage your department with a focus on professional development and retention of staff. Identify training needs and implement and monitor development plans. Take on a health, safety, and environment leadership role. Complete site safety inspections. Support the continuous development of safety prevention plans.
