Are you an enthusiastic and passionate industry professional interested in sharing your knowledge in VFX, 3D Animationamp; Modelling, or Game Development with the next generation of artists, developers, and designers The Centre for Entertainment Arts is looking for a Part-Time Instructor to join their partners #39; teams! Who Are You As an Instructor, you will have the opportunity to share your expertise and industry knowledge with students who are eager to learn about the field of visual effects. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to our students, creating a positive learning environment, and providing constructive feedback to help them grow and develop their skills. The successful candidate will have a strong background in visual effects and be a part of making a great impact on our students’ experience! A Day in the Life

  • Inspire and educate students with cutting-edge techniques and industry practices that are essential for current-day jobs in the field.
  • Transform an existing course syllabus into captivating lesson plans, detailing what will be taught and the exciting methods in which the course material will be delivered.
  • Collaborate with other staff to develop imaginative and innovative techniques to teach students about the multifaceted aspects of their course.
  • Work closely with other faculty members to ensure that the curriculum is accurate and up-to-date, providing students with the latest industry knowledge and skills.
  • Empower students by offering guidance on issues related to their course, supporting them in overcoming any challenges they may face.
  • Challenge students with homework and assignments that are designed to enhance their understanding and skills in the course.
  • Provide students with regular and timely feedback, helping them to achieve their full potential and reach their career goals.
What You Bring
  • A minimum of 5 years of industry experience in an appropriate area of development within the past decade, and/or at least one accredited published movie, game, or app title.
  • Demonstrable expertise and experience in the field, with a thorough understanding of industry practices and techniques.
  • Ability to effectively lead workshops, lectures, and seminars, utilizing strong communication, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • A relevant degree or diploma in the field is advantageous, demonstrating a strong foundation in theoretical concepts and practical applications.
  • Experience working with and teaching students is advantageous, with the ability to provide guidance, support, and constructive feedback.
  • Possesses critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt and respond to changing situations in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic thinker with experience using MS Office and social media platforms.
  • Professional and versatile written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with key stakeholders.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational abilities to manage competing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Compensation is $80-$120 per hour, based on experience.
