By way of its partnership with IMAP (International Mergersamp; Acquisitions Partners), Capital West offers global reach to its clients.For more information about Capital West, please see our website at www.capwest.com.Positionamp; ScopeCapital West Partners seeks an entrepreneurial, hands-on, and highly capable Investment Banking - Vice President to play a leadership role in the execution of mandates for clients on divestitures, mergers and acquisitions, strategic financings, and other financial advisory assignments as well as assisting the firm with business development activities. The successful candidate will play a highly prominent, client-facing role in the day-to-day execution of transactions and other key client initiatives. They will work closely with the senior partners to flawlessly execute complex transactions and further build the reputation of Capital West Partners as an industry leader in M amp;A advisory. Dutiesamp; ResponsibilitiesThe roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Leading the day-to-day execution of M amp;A and other transaction advisory assignments, including regular prominent interaction with clients.
  • Leading the preparation of client presentations including ongoing transactions and business development opportunities and playing a key role in the presentation of such materials to clients and potential clients.
  • Leading the preparation of confidential information memorandums and other deal-related marketing materials.
  • Preparing and/or reviewing financial models and valuation analysis, with support from associates.
  • Providing oversight and guidance to less senior professional staff on assignments.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge related to market trends and opportunities. Researching financial, industry, and market data/information related to business opportunities for clients.
  • Managing relationships with clients.
  • Playing a key role in the development of strategy on negotiation and other activities during a deal.
Professional Experienceamp; Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience on divestiture and acquisition transactions, including 2+ years leading the day-to-day execution of such transactions.
  • Adept at financial modeling with a strong understanding of financial statements and business valuation methodologies.
  • Analytical – financially minded with a strong numerical aptitude and ability to distill insights from a complex data set of qualitative and quantitative information.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and oral) and confident communication style and presence.
  • Proven experience excelling in an entrepreneurial, lean, and nimble environment. Strategic, and also willing to ‘roll up sleeves’ to get things done.

Education
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • CPA, CFA, or CBV preferred.
