This role will also be eligible to participate in the bonus and employee stock option plan.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance department to lead the AP team. The Senior Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing the AP functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and implementing efficient AP processes and procedures.Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and payment transactions.
  • Review and approve AP transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Operation and Procurement, to resolve issues and streamline processes.
  • Maintain vendor relationships, address inquiries and discrepancies, and negotiate payment terms.
  • Monitor AP aging reports and manage weekly payment run.
  • Manage GST and PST returns.
  • Monthly bank reconciliation for both CAD and USD bank accounts.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in AP management.
Requirements
  • Proven experience of 5 years in Accounts Payable or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and AP processes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in ERP system (e.g. NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
