We are seeking two highly skilled and motivated Program Planners to join our shipyard team. Reporting directly to the VP Planningamp; Transformation, the Senior Managers, Program Planning will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining a strong relationship with the Program Management Office (PMO). As key representatives within their assigned Programs, their primary responsibility will be to ensure a seamless interface between the PMO and the Planning, Scheduling, and Production Control organizations.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute comprehensive program plans and schedules, encompassing all aspects of shipyard operations, to achieve project milestones and objectives.- Control Account Management responsibility for assigned scope, regularly reviewing performance against baseline plans and managing risks and opportunities accordingly.- Collaborate closely with the PMO to align program goals with the shipyard #39;s capacity and capabilities, ensuring efficient resource allocation.- Serve as the primary point of contact between the PMO and the Planning, Scheduling, and Production Control teams, facilitating clear communication and information flow.- Serve also as the primary point of contact for Engineering, Supply Chain Management and Operations personnel to address planning and scheduling issues for their assigned programs.- Monitor and analyze program progress, identifying potential bottlenecks and proposing solutions to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.- Provide leadership and guidance to an integrated team of planners and schedulers, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.- Actively engage with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and mitigate risks, ensuring the development of executable schedules and the successful execution of shipyard programs.- Contribute to the development of long-term strategic plans for the shipyard #39;s planning and scheduling functions.- Collaborate with the VP Planningamp; Transformation to implement best practices and technologies that enhance program execution and functional capability.Qualifications/Experience:- Bachelor #39;s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.- Proven experience in project management or planning and scheduling, with 8-10 years in a leadership role within a shipyard or heavy manufacturing industry.- In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, including Earned Value Management and Primavera, MS Project, or similar software.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities, with a track record of team development and performance improvement.- Understanding of shipyard operations and the maritime industry is a plus.- Certification in project management is highly desirable.
