Job Description

Social Media Assistant – Remote (Canada) We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Creative and Communications team as an Entry Level Social Media Assistant. As a key member of our team, you’ll be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of our social media strategy to increase brand awareness and amplify our online presence. The ideal candidate will be passionate about social media, have a keen eye for detail, and possess excellent communication skills.Key Responsibilities

  • Create and curate engaging content across various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Collaborate with our Creative and Communications team to develop and implement innovative content strategies for a diverse clientele.
  • Monitor and engage with our audience on social media channels, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Research industry trends and competitor activities to inform content strategy.
  • Stay updated on social media best practices and emerging trends to optimize our online presence.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency across all social media channels.
Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in marketing, communications, or related fields.
  • Previous social media experience is an asset; photography/videography experience is a plus.
  • 1-year experience in graphic design preferred; proficiency in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to craft engaging content tailored to different platforms and audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and content creation.
  • SEO-knowledge is an asset
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop
