You #39;ll be responsible for creating scalable software solutions that interface with emerging technologies such as blockchain and AI. You #39;ll be an integral part of a tight-knit team, designing and implementing the systems that power our productsWorking closely with a cross-functional team of engineers, data scientists, and machine learning experts, you #39;ll design and implement robust solutions to meet the needs of our customers. Creative problem-solving and comfort with ambiguity are essential.The ideal candidate is a quick learner who is passionate about staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in software engineering. You #39;ll need to have a deep understanding of development best practices, as well as experience working with cloud infrastructure.Responsibilities

• Design and build strong, resilient, and robust APIs, libraries, and tools to power Yakoa’s Brand Protection Portal.
• Bring new functionality and scalability to the product by taking ownership of features from inception to deployment.
• Work with fast-evolving data standards from the blockchain and beyond, weaving them into responsive data environments, and tuning those environments to power real-time query infrastructure.
• Build utilities, user-defined functions, libraries, and frameworks to better enable data flow patterns.
• Utilize and advance continuous integration and deployment frameworks.
• Research, evaluate and utilize new technologies/tools/frameworks centered around high-volume data processing.
• Mentor software engineers while serving as technical lead, contributing to and directing the execution of complex projects.

Requirements

• 5+ years working as a software engineer.
• Experience in leading engineering teams on large projects.
• Experience with modern databases (PostgreSQL, Redshift, Dynamo DB, Mongo DB, or similar).
• Proficient in one or more programming languages, preferably Python, with strong SQL skills.
• Experience working with cloud services including AWS, IaC tools like Pulumi, and orchestration tools like Dagster.
• Proven analytical, communication, and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks at a given time.

Exceptional candidates also have:

• Interest in the latest developments in AI, and experience integrating AI model inference into high-performance data workflows.
• B2B software design experience and comfort navigating the full suite of feature development, through scoping, development, testing, and feedback integration.
