Our established Canadian client is a leading global retailer headquartered in Greater Vancouver, BC. Currently they are seeking a System Administrator to join their team!DESCRIPTIONAs System Administrator, you will support critical infrastructure for the company’s operations and network systems. You will play a key role in hardware and software support for end users, performing administration and maintenance tasks on various IT systems.RESPONSIBILITIES• Managing and maintaining security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus and intrusion detection systems• Monitoring, prioritizing and escalating Tier 1, 2 and 3 helpdesk tickets and providing support for end users• Managing network hardware and equipment such as VPN, firewall, switches and patch panels• Systems administration in Windows Server, Exchange, Active Directory, Remote Desktop, SharePoint, Network Printer, MDM, Office365 and network devices• Providing application support in MS Office and common software apps, ERP / CRM• Performing installations and modifications to laptops, desktops, printers and monitors• Mobile device support as needed in iOS and Android• Collaborating with IT Team to implement complex systems projectsREQUIREMENTS• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or related discipline• Minimum 3+ years in IT end-user support experience with at least 3 years of enterprise network administration• Experience in Palo Alto firewalls and HPE / Aruba switches configuration and troubleshooting• Hands-on experience of IT infrastructure, LAN and WAN technologies, VPN technology, routing, network security and wireless WPA / WEP.• Knowledge of Windows (DNS, RDS, GPO, AD, Exchange) Experience with VCenter configuration and administration • Familiarity of ITIL best practices Strong sense of customer service mindset interacting with end users• Comfortable interacting with both internal employees and management as well as external vendorsNICE-TO-HAVES• Certification in CCNA Routing and Switching• Certification in Microsoft MCSA• Experience administering Office 365 and Azure services• Support experience in VOIP, ERP, SCCM and PowerShell scriptingCOMPENSATIONamp; BENEFITS• Base salary of $75,000 – $85,000 annual based on experience• Healthamp; Dental Benefits• Employee Discounts• Personal Care Days• 3 weeks’ vacation• Plenty of company socials and events throughout the yearADDITIONAL INFORMATION• Must have valid driver’s license and access to personal vehicle for occasional travel to Lower Mainland• On-call rotation for after-hours, holiday and weekend support• Up to 2 days/week work from home upon completion of probation periodHOW TO APPLYPlease apply directly to this posting with the most recent version of your resume.
