· Splice and test fiber optic cables in all outside plant applications – aerial, burial and underground, on both newly placed and existing cables· Analyze test results and have the ability to troubleshoot and correct any faults or defects· Holds a valid G license· 1-3 years’ of splicing experience· Able to complete the necessary training for working at heights and confined space, pass the corresponding examinations and receive a client authorization number as required· Able to lift up to 60 lbs· Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions· Ability to interpret placing and splicing plans· Competency in OTDR and other testing protocol· Good communication skills with the ability to work independently or in a team· Demonstrated commitment to health and safety and willing to receive applicable Health and Safety training as per legislative and job requirements· Must be able to provide a clear criminal record check and a clean driver’s abstractJob Type: Full-timeAdditional pay:
