Job Description

Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking an Emergency Response Attendant (ERA) for our Retirement Village at Abervale in Grovedale.Lendlease is a globally integrated real estate group with core expertise in shaping cities and creating strong and connected communities. Our purpose is to create places where communities thrive not only for our clients, but importantly for our employees.The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, committed, and reliable. In this role, you will provide onsite operational assistance and response to all village emergency calls. ERA shifts will be predominately nightly sleepover shifts and involve some weekend shifts on a casual basis, additional assistance may be required for annual leave cover or during busier periods.With a commitment to providing exceptional customer service, the successful candidate will have proven experience in dealing with the elderly and frail along with the ability to make critical decisions in relation to emergency call outs from residence with a professional and positive approach to ensure that all residents’ needs are met in accordance with Lendlease standards.Duties will include:

  • Responding to pendant call outs,
  • Undertaking first aid,
  • Initiating emergency services where required,
  • Conducting welfare checks
    • Providing operational support to the village including general cleaning of the common areas and mail delivery to the residents.
To be successful it would be desirable if you have:
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate (essential or willing to obtain)
  • CPR Certificate (essential or willing to obtain)
  • Highly motivated and able to take initiative
