Job Description

We are growing and looking for a full-time Junior Accounting Analyst located in our office in Guelph, ON. This is an entry level career position ideal if you are looking to begin your journey in world of Finance.Job DescriptionTo succeed in this role, you must be able to assist with professional accounting tasks and analysis of financial data in support of various accounting functions including Account Payable, Payroll, Cost Accounting, and General Accounting.

  • Record monthly journal entries.
  • Prepare detailed monthly variance analysis of balance sheet accounts.
  • Manage accounts receivable and ensure that monthly revenues are collected on time.
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain all accounting files in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Assist the Accounting Manager with ad hoc tasks and/or special assignments as requested.
What we look for:
  • One to two years experience in a related position.
  • Post-Secondary education in Accounting, Finance or related discipline is required.
  • Strong accounting skills and ability to apply accounting theory, principals, and techniques.
  • Knowledgeable in auditing practices and principles.
  • Strong critical thinking as well as analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in accounting software (i.e. Simply, Accpac, Quick Books, Yardi, etc.).
