Job Description

Job SummaryThe Inventory Control Assistant assists with daily tasks within the warehouse/shipping bay with monitoring and controlling warehouse inventory by overseeing, directing, and coordinating the movement of supplies, products, and merchandise into and out of the warehouse. Working with the Shipper Receiver on outgoing and incoming deliveries with the ability to lift up-to 50lbs, with lots of bending, crouching, and kneeling while working within the warehouse and shipping bay.Reports to: Supply Chain ManagerJob Responsibilities:Coordinate incoming and outgoing inventory deliveriesAssist with the loading and unloading of deliveriesAllocate and organize storage locations according to requirementsSort inventory according to established proceduresIdentify inventory within warehouse and shipping bayTrack and manage inventory by completing regular cycle countsMaintain inventory records and databasesIdentify potential inventory shortages and communicate with managerCoordinate the purchase of new inventoryProvide regular inventory reports to managerEnsure proper packaging and labeling of shipmentsEnsure shipping counts match the order documentsProcess and provide necessary paperwork for shipmentsProcess and coordinate customer or B2B returnsEnsure accuracy of shipping and receiving documentsEnter all information into the system for deliveries and shipmentsMaintain all records/logs relative to shipping and receivingEnsure strict adherence to all housekeeping and warehouse standards, while ensuring SOP protocols are being metSkills & Abilities:Able to lift-up to 50lbsAble to work well under pressureExcellent interpersonal and communication and listening skills; ability to communicate professionally with people within all levels of the organization and external contactsJudgement and decision-making skillsProblem-solving skillsAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to work individually and a part of teamAble to safely use warehouse equipment such as a forklift, pallet jacksData entry skills and some administrative skillsRequired Qualifications1-3 years of experience with purchasing and Inventory ControlHighschool diploma or equivalentProficiency in relevant computer applications including MS Word and ExcelBasic understanding of ERP/MRP computer systemsClass 5 drivers license and reliable transportationWe would like to thank all applicants for their interest but only those selected for an interview will be contacted.Atlas Growers seeks to fully integrate the principles of Employment Equity and will ensure the full participation and advancement of members of historically disadvantaged groups (i.e., members of visible minorities, persons with disabilities, women, and indigenous peoples).Quick Apply
