Job Description

Job Summary: To provide assistance to the LDM Coordinator in ensuring the programs and services offered by Employment & Training continue in efficient manner and provide and document follow-up with client base both current and past year.Closing Date: November 4, 2021 @ 12:00PMHours of Work:37.5 hours per weekContract Term: Expires August 2022Please submit your cover letter, resume and 3 current references when applying.REQUIREMENTS

  • Education and Experience
  •  Post-Secondary Education in office administration, employment services or related area OR
  •  High school diploma or equivalent plus experience and knowledge of office setting with strong
  • skills in facilitation and event management.
  • Mandatory Requirements
  •  Must meet age criteria: 15 – 30 years of age as of start date.
  •  Must NOT be enrolled in any schooling program, (GED, upgrading, distance education)
  •  Must be unemployed or under-employed
  •  Must be First Nations or Inuit, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation Member preferred
  • (additional funding requirement)
  •  Must be open to obtaining CPIC and First Aid/CPR
  • Skills and Abilities
  •  Ability to work cooperatively with other staff and management
  •  Ability to communicate effectively to both internal and external inquiries
  •  An organized approach and strong work ethic
  •  Able to work unsupervised and accomplish set out tasks in a timely fashion
  •  Good typing skills, business writing abilities and an excellent command of the English language
  •  Good computer skills, with proficiency in Word, Excel, Publisher; MS Access is an asset
  •  Organizational skills and good case management record keeping abilities
  •  Must be able to follow direction
  • Assets
  •  Valid Driver’s license and reliable vehicle a definite asset
  •  Knowledge of the history, culture and /or language of the Mississaugas of Credit First Nation is
  • an asset
