“Living in Yukon Thriving in Life”Our goal is to support all learners in developing the essential skills, knowledge and personal qualities that they need to thrive in life.This position is responsible for providing a variety of school library support services to the student body, school staff, and parents/guardians to the St. Elias Community School in Haines Junction. This includes checking library materials in and out, keeping circulation records, sending overdue notices and performing other clerical tasks. Please note selection for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.Basic administrative tasks such as, tracking and data entry, photocopying, scanning and faxing, and filing/records management;Experience working in a library setting or similar environment;Experience working a cataloging classification system would be an asset;Experience working with youth of all ages would be an asset.Candidates with an equivalent combination of post-secondary education and relevant experience will be equally considered.Desired Knowledge, Skills and SuitabilityThe ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, be able to work independently in a very busy and sometimes stressful environment.
