Join a supportive and friendly environment where your skills and dedication make a meaningful impact.About the Role:We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented On Call Medical Office Assistant to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our clinics. You’ll work across six clinic locations in the Halifax region, providing administrative support, assisting healthcare professionals, and delivering excellent customer service. This is a flexible role with varying hours, including day shifts, evenings, and Saturdays.Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients and ensure a warm, professional environment.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Manage phone calls and address patient inquiries.
  • Support healthcare providers with administrative and clinical tasks as needed.
  • Process billing and insurance claims accurately.
  • Keep the reception area clean and organized.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma or certificate in Medical Office Administration (or related field).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience, preferably in a medical office or healthcare setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
