Job Description

Aldershot Greenhouses Limited is looking for an Assistant Grower to work at our Waterdown. This position is a full time role working approx. 47.5 hours per week. Duties include but not limited to:

  • Working for the head grower in a semi-automated greenhouse facility: approx. 240,000 square feet of production
  • Specialized in Mini Roses, Chrysanthemums, Poinsettia, Hydrangea and Hellebore
  • Setting up drip/computer controlled irrigation
  • Applying pesticides/fungicides as necessary
  • Experience in PGR
  • EC Checking
  • Monitoring for pests and disease
  • Bug Counts
  • Applying Growth regulators as necessary
  • Previous experience in a greenhouse
  • Hand Watering
  • Monitor cold temperatures
  • Other duties as required
Hours of work: 7am – 4:30pm (may be asked to come in early or work late during our busy times.
