Posting #:23157Openings Remaining:1Full/Part Time:Full TimeReg/Temp/Casual:RegularUnion:Non-UnionHours of Work:Monday to Friday; daysTime of Day:DaysShift Length:Open Date:22/11/22Closing Date:29/11/22POSITION SUMMARY:Multi-faceted position to coordinate and participate in the development of all Community Treatment Orders issued and renewed for both hospital and community based client in the Hamilton and surrounding regions i.e. West 5th Campus, Charlton Campus, King St Campus and community mental health agencies.QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelors Degree in a related field (nursing or social work preferred). For nursing applicants, Mental Health Nursing Certificate preferred.
  • College of Nurses or appropriate certification/registration in professional association or college
  • Minimum of 5 years practical and related experience in a mental health care setting with individuals with a serious mental illness and addictions
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of general psychiatry principles and philosophies with respect to the treatment and management of clients with a serious mental illness and addictions and client and family centred care
  • Current comprehensive knowledge of CTO Legislation, revised Mental Health Act, Health Care Consent Act, Substitute Decision Makers Act, Regulated Health Professions Act and other appropriate legislation
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully with community agencies and other stakeholders in developing creative partnerships to benefit individuals with serious mental illness
  • Excellent communication and problem solving abilities with ability to prioritize
  • Ability to take a leadership role in an intra‐professional team
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to adapt to changes
  • Current CPR, First Aid and Non‐Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) certification
  • Current and demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Valid drivers license and business insurance for transporting clients and staff as required
