Demo Support SpecialistL3HARRIS WESCAM DivisionWaterdown, OntarioAbout L3HARRIS WESCAMAs a subsidiary of L3Harris Technologies and within the Integrated Mission Systems Segment, the WESCAM division develops the most advanced optical sensor and targeting systems for global defense and military sectors, National Security, Search & Rescue and Airborne law enforcement agencies. From long-range covert surveillance missions to search and rescue operations, our MX-series systems, and the mission systems solutions they are a part of, produce stabilized high-magnification electro-optical and infrared images from airborne, marine and ground based platforms, enabling our customers to see first and act first.About the RolePartners with field sales managers to drive continued business and meet customer needs. Conducts analysis of customer requirements, ensuring the company is able to meet customer needs with products, support and timeframes. Point of contact for Sales, Dealers and Customers for technical and logistical support. Provides quotes, responses and proformas on Requests for Proposals (RFQ)s for future business opportunities; assists with large proposals. Interfaces and coordinates with B&P, ILS, Systems Engineering, Program Management, Sales Finance, Contracts & Product Management to generate cost estimates, create work breakdown structures, prepare cost and price review material, provide proposal text, and create proformas. Assists Sales Managers in analysis and presentation of current sales activities forecasts, order status/issues/progress, equipment details and future opportunities. Manages prospect database.Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist Demo Support Manager with the planning, coordination and staffing of demos
  • Facilitate weekly Demo review meeting with Sales, CSG and Trade Show planners to update Demo schedule and ensure requirements are quantified, understood, and met
  • Oversees management of the sales Asset Request (AR) Tracking Process and reporting. Work consists of making moderate enhancements or improvements to systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of job area
  • Work with Director of Sales and Export Compliance Manager to ensure Export Approvals are in place to support future business opportunities
  • Monitors and manages assigned Sales Support Budget for Fiscal Year working closely with Directors of Sales under the direction of the Demo Support Manager
  • Assist the Demo Support Manager in the annual Budgeting Process
  • Maintenance, tracking & reporting of budget as it relates to maintenance assets / and forecasted demo requests
  • Coordinate and facilitate conflict resolution meetings / discussions associated to Sales Asset Scheduling
  • Assist in the management and planning of the demo inventory
  • Work with Product Marketing team to communicate NPI launch information to Demo Support Manager
  • Represent account managers at appropriate internal meetings, and communicate outcomes
  • Create and roll out processes that ensure best practices are used in relation to Sales Asset inventory management and scheduling
  • Monitors and supports the planning and overall Scheduling functions of Sales Asset Coordinators & Support Technicians
  • Act as the alternate point of contact for the Demo Support Manager
Required Capabilities
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint (MS Office)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and problem solving skills that typically drawing from prior experiences, with analysis of the issues
  • Team player attitude; ability to develop strong working relationships with department representatives, managers and support staff
  • Ability to deal directly with internal and external customers
  • Experience in shipping and way bill tracking
  • Experience with Export Controls as they apply to the movement of Sales Demo assets
  • Knowledge in filing and tracking techniques
Desired Education and Experiences
  • May have practical knowledge of project management.
  • Bachelor’s degree & minimum of 4 year prior relevant experience
  • College Diploma & 8 years of prior relevant experience
  • Technical knowledge is preferred
