Job Location:HamiltonState/Province:OntarioWorking under the supervision of the Foreman, the Driver will drive various types of vehicles and trucks as well as perform some labourer duties to support the Expercom MSA Civil Team.This is a full-time position which inlcudes Benefits, Company Match RRSP as well as opportunities for growth!ResponsibilitiesManage the vehicles and its actions; responsible for identifying weight as to not exceed vehicle requirementsLoad and unload heavy equipment in a secure and damage free mannerTransport cargo and/or equipment utilizing various combinations of truck and trailerUse various types of equipment to move and install materialGeneral site preparation and clean-up as directedComplete the Driver’s daily pre-trip, en-route and post-trip vehicle inspectionsComplete the Driver’s log book, accident or incident reportsMaintaining a clean and orderly vehicle (interior and exterior)Digging/holes and trenches, pulling cableOperating tools and equipmentGeneral site preparation and clean-up as directedHandles and distributes construction materials, as well as safely loading and unloading vehicles with supplies and equipment as directedResponsible for the removal of all debris from work sitesOther duties as requiredQualificationsHigh school diploma or relevant experienceDZ or AZ License with a clean driver’s abstract; able to comfortably drive vehicles within the license class1-2 years’ experience driving vehicles within a license-class heldPrevious experience operating a mini excavatorAble to operate a rubber tracked excavatorGood verbal communication skills and able to work with othersMust be able to safely lift 23 kg (50 lbs)Must be able to speak, read and write in EnglishDemonstrated commitment to health and safety and willing to receive applicable health and safety training as per legislative and job requirementsProficient with CVOR requirementsMust be able to work in restricted and tight spaces and at heightsMust be able to provide a clear criminal record check and a clean driver’s abstractPhysical DemandsMust be able to perform the physical demands of the positions work tasks. These include but are not limited to working outdoors and in confined spaces, movement of equipment and/or materials, frequent climbing of ladders, frequent lifting and pulling of telecommunication cable in excess of 15 lbs. Attention to detail required. Will be required to stand for extended periods of time.
