We’re one global team – over 50,000 strong – driven by a common purpose to deliver a better world.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:+ Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and associated software to produce, display, and analyze geographic information+ Develop and maintain databases, reports, and mapping+ Create, organize, manipulate, and retrieve GIS data for reporting, analysis, and presentation purposes+ Perform quality assurance of GIS data and associated graphic components+ Supporting digital data collection programs+ Will use concepts, practices and procedures to extract and provide GIS data to clients+ Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member+ Develops and maintains databases, reports, and maps.+ Creates, organizes, manipulates, and retrieves GIS data for reporting, analysis, and presentation purposes+ Prepares and updates metadata+ Performs quality assurance of GIS data and associated graphic components+ Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writingAbout AECOM’s Environment Business LineJoin AECOM to be part of an expert global team who is connected through a well-developed, worldwide, internal technical practice network through which you can learn from and brainstorm with the best in the world. We help clients reduce their impact on the environment, achieve compliance and reduce risks.Minimum Requirements+ Bachelor’s degree in Geography or other related field required+ Associates degree in GIS or other related field required+ Willingness to travel (up to 10% local travel)Preferred Qualifications+ 2 years of relevant experience+ Basic experience working with ArcGIS and other GIS databases+ Proficiency with ESRI desktop mapping and analysis tools and extensions (ArcGIS Online, Portal, Web Apps, Survey 123 etc)+ Understanding of complex relational database organization, design, and functionality+ Proficiency in the processing and analysis of raster and vector geospatial data+ Demonstrated knowledge of cartographic design and production concepts and principles+ Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate in both verbal and written form+ Familiar with GIS production environments+ Experience in the development of online mapping platforms and applications (Geocortex is a plus)+ Basic application and tool development skills using Model Builder, Python, or Visual Basic+ Working knowledge of LiDAR processing techniques+ Working knowledge of raster processing techniques+ Drivers licenseAdditional Information:+ Relocation is not available for this position.+ Sponsorship is not available for this position.What We OfferWe will give you the flexibility you need to do your best work with hybrid work options.
