Founded in 1975, Eden began as a small, family-oriented school for individuals with autism and today offers classes from pre-K through age 21. In addition, Eden provides services for adults with autism including residential and employment programs, as well as providing clinical and training support for families and professionals.INTRODUCTIONWe have an exciting career opportunity for a Manager of Residential Services . The highly talented individual must demonstrate a passionate commitment to Eden’s mission and the desire to deliver in a high-value and mission-driven organization. The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the day-to-day operations and clinical aspects of assigned Eden group homes, and maintain fluid communication with parents, staff, and regulatory agencies, as well as provide supervision and training to Residential Supervisors, Lead Direct Support Professionals, and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESSupervision

  • Hire, coach/mentor, train and develop staff; provide feedback on regular basis.
  • Conduct Teacher Quality Assessments (TQAs) and annual performance evaluations.
  • Oversee the scheduling and follow-up of all medical/dental appointments for adult participants.
  • Partner with Human Resources in the hiring and on-boarding process to include scheduling and conducting interviews, hiring, scheduling training and orientation, and completion of new hire paper work.
Operations
  • Oversee daily operation of assigned group home, ensuring that all documentation and residences are in compliance for evaluations, accreditations and licensing.
  • Assist in scheduling all special events (i.e., Special Olympics, holiday events, participant vacations, arena events, etc.).
  • Schedule and conduct agency tours and other community outreach events as assigned.
  • Review monthly program budgets.
  • Oversee compliance and assist with investigations and inspections as set forth in the Standards for Community Residences for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities.
  • Conduct scheduled facility reviews of all group homes.
  • Review and edit participants’ progress reports.
  • Serve as a resource in seeking staff coverage for assigned residences.
  • Conduct unannounced visits at residences as per Eden policy.
  • Oversee, monitor, and ensure accurate and timely completion of weekly timesheets.
Clinical
  • Oversee the development and implementation of all behavior support plans and Individual Habilitation Plans (IHPs) for assigned participants; ensure information is entered into Therap.
  • Complete monthly pre-consult notes for psychologist.
  • Participate in annual review of behavior support plans.
  • Complete participants’ assessments as assigned.
Communication and Meetings
  • Schedule and conduct weekly individual meetings with assigned supervisors.
  • Conduct monthly Supervisor meetings.
  • Attend Managing Director meetings with Director and other Managers.
  • Attend residence staff meetings as needed or as directed.
  • Maintain responsive, proactive, and professional communication with parents.
  • Notify Director immediately of any situation which compromises the safe and effective operation of Residential Services.
  • Cooperate with Eden Autism Services and Department of Human Services staff in any inspection or investigation.
  • Attend monthly medication checks with Nurse, Health and Social Services Coordinator and program supervisors.
  • Attend DDD meetings as needed.
(The responsibilities listed are representative and not all inclusive; other duties may be assigned by supervisor/s.)JOB REQUIREMENTSPOSITION REQUIREMENTSEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience: 3+ years’ experience working with developmentally disabled individuals; 3+ years’ supervisory experience; Fee for Service/Therap certification a plus.Training and Other Requirements: Must complete and pass Entry Level and Professional Crisis Management Training, along with all DDD required trainings; valid driver’s license is required with record in good standing (less than 5 points).Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time during the work day, including bending, squatting, kneeling, stretching and stooping; and reaching above shoulder level.
  • Vision requirements including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to utilize and maintain physical restraints with participants as needed.
  • Ability to pass and maintain Professional Crisis Management (PCM) certification.
  • Mobility to ensure the safety of participants at all times.

  • Ability to demonstrate a sound working knowledge of applied behavioral analysis.
  • Commitment to helping individuals with autism and their families.
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure organizational compliance with contractual and regulatory bodies.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality by adhering to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills with the ability to make recommendations for an effective and efficient resolution.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and professionalism.
  • Deadline-driven and results-focused.
  • Ability to multi-task; well organized and detail-oriented.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with individuals and groups, both internally and externally to achieve desired results.
  • Willingness to travel locally (10-20%).
  • Available for on-call duty.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
