Primary Functions of the Logistics unit include Just-In-Time inventory management, inter-hospital transport, mail and courier services, and managing relationships with GPO’s and other strategic alliances.Position SummaryThe Material Handler 2 is responsible for maintaining adequate Just-In-Time stock in all clinical areas, surveying inventory items and distributing those supplies appropriately; acting as a liaison between Materials Management and the user areas, replenishing stock as required.Schedule Work Hoursdays, evenings, nights, weekends, holidaysQualifications1. Grade 12 or equivalent2. Demonstrated computer skills3. Practical experience in Hospital Materials Management computer data information system4. Knowledge of Stores inventory systems5. Good communication (written and oral) and organizational skills6.
