Job Description

Flamboro Technical Services is a custom stainless steel fabrication shop which manufactures products mainly for the food processing/packaging sectors. We are seeking a quality inspector to join our team and help us grow. We are multi-trade company which primarily focuses on stainless steel fabrication, we are located in Flamborough, just north of Waterdown.Job Overview:The Quality inspector will be responsible for the following:

  • First off, in-process and final inspections on work being performed
  • Incoming materials inspection and allocation
  • Inspecting components from sub-vendors to ensure quality and geometrical tolerances
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Completing in process and final dimensional inspection reports
  • Using measurement equipment for dimensional inspections
  • Confirming results are within tolerance as they relate to blueprints/drawings
  • Communicating with customers regarding quality issues as required
  • Be part of and help create inspection plans and process
  • Documenting concerns/opportunities for improvement or router details in both our ERP system and part/job filing
  • Labeling parts with proper tags, “on-hold”, and “ready to ship” etc.
  • Calibrate and maintain measurement equipment
  • Understanding blueprint reading, CAD files, drawings and customer information
  • Operating ERP system to generate reports and packing slips
Qualifications:
  • Applicable post-secondary education or equivalent experience
  • Must have prior experience in machine shop environment
  • Experience with measuring equipment
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, manufacturing plans and technical documents, blueprint reading
  • Ability to assume responsibility and to interface and communicate effectively with others, have strong interpersonal skills and be self-motivated
  • High attention to detail and very accurate with the ability to read customer supplied and in-house Engineered Drawings
  • Able to multitask under tight deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
