Course Description/Relevant Employment Duties:Regeneration is the process by which lost body parts are replaced or restored. There is widespread variability in the ability of organisms to regenerate. In this course we will explore, through the examination of the current scientific literature, what is known about the molecular mechanisms underlying this process and the current tools employed to explore this highly sought after ability.Seminar and discussions in small groups (three hours); one termPrerequisite(s): Registration in Level IV or above of an Honours Life Science programPreferential enrolment is done by preregistration ballot.Required Qualifications: Ph.D. preferred, or combination of relevant education and teaching experience.Preferred Qualifications: Research and teaching experience is preferred.McMaster University is located on the traditional territories of the Haudenosaunee and Mississauga Nations and, within the land protected by the “Dish With One Spoon” wampum agreement.   • Supplemented Fees- 15.02(a) The employee may be eligible to receive supplemented fees in accordance with Schedule C of the Collective Agreement. The actual rate of pay when in excess of the base rate of pay is deemed to include any supplemented fees owing, to the extent of the excess amount. If the actual rate of pay is less than the sum of the base rate of pay and the supplemented fees owing, then the employee shall receive the difference.
