Job Description

The Opportunity:Thos. R. Birnie & Sons is currently looking for a Sewer/Drain Pipe Layer to join our installation team.Job Type: Full TimeKey Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform sewer repairs, pipe bursting, and install weeping tiles, pipe liners, and waterlines.
  • Use various excavation methods (Backhoe, bobcat, hand dig) to access repairs and installations.
  • Operate equipment and vehicles including trailers.
  • Practice safe working habits including but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment; shoring of holes; and vehicle and machine safety.
  • Clean up work sites including, but not limited to cementing, removal of garbage and/or materials.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service, support, and care for the customer’s property.
  • Maintain communication with dispatch and your manager.
