Oakridge Landscape Contractors need a Landscape Construction Lead Hand in Hamilton to join our dynamic team of talented individuals!Company Overview:Oakridge Group Inc. We have won 9 Landscape Ontario awards in 2021 for our residential and commercial projects.Position Overview:

  • Landscape Construction Lead Head related to the landscape construction industry.
  • This position will involve assisting in the daily management of construction projects for Oakridge Landscape Contractors.
  • This position also includes the use of numerous types of related equipment.
Job Details:
  • Year-Round Work Available
  • Position: Landscape Construction Lead Hand
  • Location: Hannon, ON
  • Pay: $22-28 per hour
  • Benefitsamp; Pension after probationary period

  • Annual boot allowance after one year of employment
Key duties include:
  • Assist the foreperson with the management of a crew of 3-6 people.
  • Drive company truck and trailer.
  • Read blueprints.
  • Installation of natural stone (flag, armor, etc).
  • Installation of interlock paving stone.
  • Installation of precast pavers and retaining walls.
  • Ability to dig holes (when needed), place soils, plant trees, and shrubs, etc.
  • Trim shrubs and evergreens.
  • Candidates must pay keen attention to detail.
Job Requirements:
  • Valid Driver’s License “G” is required.
  • Clean Driver’s Abstract.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of field experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools, and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practices.
  • Strong knowledge of job safety and safe work habits.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work long hours and the occasional Saturday.
