DUTIES: Located at College of the North Atlantic’s Happy Valley-Goose Bay Campus, the Clerk Typist III will provide secretarial and administrative support to the Admissions, Customized and Continuous Learning and the Student Services divisions; maintain student files; compile reports; receive and process applications for admissions; register students in programs; enter student grades for courses; create sponsor letters for students; create invoice request; operate computers using various software applications; process all student loan certificates; produce certificates and transcripts; maintain filing system; input data to PeopleSoft; and respond to inquiries from the public. Other related duties as required.QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have knowledge of general administrative/clerical support functions including records management and must be proficient with computer applications and software packages (Microsoft Office). Knowledge of and experience using PeopleSoft is preferred. Candidates must have effective communication and organizational skills and the ability to respond effectively to multiple and changing priorities. Candidates must be able to work independently with limited supervision while also demonstrating professionalism and effective interpersonal skills. The ability to form effective working relationships is also essential in this role. These qualifications are acquired through completion of a Diploma in Office Administration, supplemented by relevant experience in a similar administrative role.
