We are seeking an experienced and multiskilled Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls Technician who is proficient in troubleshooting, maintaining, and operating liquids pump station control systems and other related facilities.We are looking for a self-starter and a team player, capable of working with minimal supervision, who possesses excellent interpersonal, problem solving, diagnostic, and communication skills.The position is based out of our Hardisty Terminal.The regular work schedule for this position will be:Week 1 - Monday to Thursday 9 hours per day; 8 hours on FridayWeek 2 - Monday to Thursday 9 hours per day; Friday offRelocation Eligibility: This position is eligible for our domestic relocation programWhat youll doEnsure the safe and reliable completion of work actives including supervision of contractors, issuing Permits, perform lockout / tag out, and safe work authorizationsSupport multi-skilled maintenance requirements in the completion of pipeline and control system tasksPlan, coordinate, and perform maintenance to include routine corrective and preventative maintenance, equipment and system improvements, and major maintenance projectsTroubleshoot, operate, and maintain pumps, valves, and operators as well as other associated electrical, instrumentation, and controls equipment used in liquids facilitiesSupport on-call rotation, emergency response, and after hour requirements of the Keystone Terminal and Pipeline SystemMonitor contractor activity while on-siteComplete work orders, enter data into job plans, create new work orders, etc. in BlueWorx and SAPMinimum QualificationsA fully certified Journeyperson Electrician or equivalent is requiredMinimum of five (5) years of relevant experience; previous experience with piping, motor operated valves, and operations would be an assetStrong electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and process aptitudeContinuous improvement mindset in applying your knowledge to efficiently perform duties as assignedAction oriented with a focus on completing tasks and assignments in a safe and environmentally responsible mannerHighly motivated and well organized in the execution of responsibilitiesExperience with the interpretation of technical reference documentsAble to act and work independently and able to effectively work in a team environment that includes shared responsibilities in support of team and company objectivesUtilize computers, smart phone, and e-mail for internal and external communication, record keeping, on-line reporting, material and supply ordering and filing of various formsPreferred QualificationsThorough understanding of test equipment used to maintain control systemsAdditional industry related certification and/or related trades experienceExcellent critical thinking and analytical skills when encountering issues and able to use these skills when troubleshootingCompetent using equipment applicable to the maintenance of control and measurement systemsComputerized Maintenance Management System experience preferably with SAP and BlueWorxThis position requires the candidate to:Reside within 100 km of our Hardisty Terminal.Have and maintain a valid drivers license and safe driving recordSuccessfully complete a pre-employment medical screening including drug and alcohol testingBe subject to hazardous conditions including adverse weather, heights, lifting, and cramped conditionsBe available for overtime, extended work hours, and callouts as neededTravel to other company locations for temporary assignments, meetings, or training which would involve some overnight stays away from homeThis position is overtime eligible, part of an on-call rotation, and may be requested to provide support during emergency response or extended days due to operational needs.About our businessTC Energy is a leading energy infrastructure company in North America.
