Job Description

We are hiring Process Engineer in CalgaryAgilus is recruiting for a Process Engineer in the Manufacturing Industry in Calgary, Alberta. Our client, a leader in the plastic manufacturing industry, has immediate need for a Process Engineer for a full-time permanent position in Calgary, Alberta. The successful candidate will provide technical assistance to Flexible Packaging Manufacturing Plant operations in the form of process improvement, cost reduction, safety enhancement, and efficiency.   • Identifies, develops, and manages process improvement projects specifically aimed at improving operational efficiencies (waste, productivity, costs). This includes the ongoing development and training of required methods and procedures
  • Works in conjunction with manufacturing and maintenance personnel to ensure consistent operation of equipment to prescribed conditions
  • Identifies set-up and run parameters, maintenance intervals, and material specifications
  • Writes, performs, analyzes, and reports on validations to support process standardization
  • Assists in preparing SOPs with the input from the machine operators, supervisors and technical personnel
Requirements:
  • Engineering Degree - APEGA accredited as a minimum
  • 2-3 years of related experience in manufacturing
  • Knowledge in for statistical methods, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and other Lean Manufacturing tools
  • Proficient in MS Office. Ability to use AUTOCAD and create drawings
  • Strong understanding of various trades
  • Strong mechanical, electrical and process knowledge understanding
