Daiken North America LTD is seeking an Information Technology Infrastructure Technician for our Huntsville, ON facility, (formerly Panolam Surface Systems).The Information Technology Infrastructure Technician will support all IT Infrastructure Operations and verify that technology processes, policies and procedures are aligned with company standards. The Information Technology Infrastructure Technician will provide Level 1 and 2 technical and functional support for company infrastructure with the purpose of maintaining high availability, integrity and up-time.Daiken North America LTD is are located in beautiful, tranquil Huntsville!Live, Play, and Work all in one location! • Work Schedule:Monday through Friday 8 hours a day; at times more than 8 hours

Responsibilities:

• Serve as an escalation point for IT troubleshooting, including laptop repairs, email and mobile device support, conference room setup, hardware and networking equipment diagnostics, and software and applications support.
  • Hardware: Support all IT systems both in the Plant and the front office. Currently deployed hardware includes Dell and Lenovo end-user workstations, iOS and Android mobile devices, printers.
  • Network: Support LAN systems consisting of Cisco and HP switching, Wireless Access points, fiber optic and copper cabling
• Work with vendors and Plant Engineers to support the workstations running the manufacturing equipment and OT support.
• Support the integration of software and applications.
• Assist in implementing network hardening measures to protect against potential cyber threats and reinforce data protection
• Install and configure new software, computers, or peripheral equipment.
• Maintain existing software and hardware by making changes, applying updates, installing drivers, or performing simple repairs as needed to hardware including installing replacement parts or components.

Qualifications:Essential Qualifications:

• Must have excellent knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
• Working knowledge of: Active Directory and Office 365.
• Experience supporting VOIP and collaboration tools.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or other Cisco certifications is preferred
• WAN experience is preferred
• Must be able to communicate effectively and efficiently with employees at all levels of the organization
• Critical thinking with problem solving skills. ability to operate and troubleshot assigned equipment.
• Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies with a track record of achievements

Required Education and Experience:

• IT Industry certifications or a degree in a related field of study
• 5+ years of increasingly responsible experience in information technology; help desk, technical support, and communications with project management.

Work Environment: Manufacturing and/or officePhysical Demands: This job requires the ability to sit, climb, stand, lift and/or move 50lbs.
