Job Description

Job DescriptionThe Canada Medical Services Manager is responsible for leadership and management of multiple nurse lead Health Centers, regional medical operations & programs. This includes Cami, Oshawa, St. Catharines Health Center and other sites with no medical onsite such as Canada CCA sites. Other responsibilities include; personnel development, medical compliance and regulatory oversight, business integration, strategic review and planning, maintaining union interface, providing medical expertise and assuring the delivery of quality occupational medical services.Key Job Elements

  • Five or more years of management experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment
  • Ability to communicate, motivate, and inspire direct reports and others
  • Ability to champion and lead change within work groups and departments
  • Demonstrates innovative and strategic thinking
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Occupational Health Nursing experience
  • Must be able to be onsite 1 - 3 days weekly
  • Successful candidates will be required to attest to, and be prepared to provide proof of, their vaccination status and that any job offer will be conditional on the candidate being fully vaccinated.
Education and Training
  • Nursing Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred
  • Valid College of Nurses of Ontario Certificate of Competence
  • Occupational Health Nursing Certificate or Diploma or Certified Occupational Health Nurse - Canada (COHN-C) preferred
  • Knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Additional advanced degree (MS, MPH, MBA or doctorate) preferred
