Job Description

We also offer company paid uniforms and part-time and flexible schedules!POSITION: Security – South Truck Gate Traffic Guard (Permanent Position)LOCATION: GM CAMI Assembly (Ingersoll, ON)PAY: $21.17/hrSHIFT: Full Time – Monday - Friday – 05:00-13:00/13:00-21:00 (2-week rotation resulting in 40 Hours per week)NOTE: This site is located in Ingersoll, ON. This is not located on a bus route. Must be able to do rotational shifts and full drivers licence is an assetQUALIFICATIONS:

  • Be able to read, write and speak in English and possess reading, writing and comprehension skills sufficient to compose clearly and concise written reports and read and understand rules, regulations, policies and similar instructions;
  • Have work experience in security, policing or a related field;
  • Possess a valid Ontario Security Guard License and a First aid/CPR certification (or CAMI equivalent).
  • Be poised, tactful and diplomatic and have the ability to make decisions and exercise good judgment under stress and in emergency situations;
  • Have working knowledge of various computer applications including; Excel, Word, Lotus Notes
  • Have working knowledge of access control, CCTV and life safety systems;
  • Be able to perform the physical rigors of the job including but not limited to lifting a temporary gate arm;
  • Perform tasks and duties in an indoor/outdoor environment in any weather condition
  • COVID-19 Vaccination: Based on Federal / Provincial law, or client mandates, Allied Universal may be required to determine COVID-19 vaccine status of its employees assigned to a specific contract or working in a specific geographical area.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Reports directly to the Security Shift Supervisor.
  • Excellent customer service etiquette is required
  • Responsible for enforcing visitor protocol
  • Contact plant individuals as per the ERP as required
  • Verifying access permissions for all people attending the site, prior to authorizing access
  • Record all vehicles and individuals entering and exiting site
  • Inspect all vehicles upon entrance and exit
  • Directing traffic
  • And perform all other duties as required by the sit
