Invites applications for the position of:Summer Camp CoordinatorPosition OverviewThe Ingersoll Community Services Department seeks to employ a fun, energetic, outgoing and dedicatedstaff member who will be responsible for the development and delivery of Summer Camp. Duties includeplanning, implementation and evaluation of Day Camp programs, providing incidental guidance to DayCamp counsellors, attending regular meetings and attending summer camp and ongoing training workshops.This staff member will develop an 8 week camp program and support Counsellors in the development ofdaily program schedules. The Day Camp Coordinator will be responsible for the development and facilitationof the Day Camp staff training. To be deemed eligible you must be: between 16 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment*; a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigrationand Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment**; and, have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordancewith relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulationsStart Date(s) & Hours per Week 40 Hours Weekly (Monday to Friday). May 16 to August 26, 2022Required Certifications, Licenses, Training, etc. Current Level C Standard First Aid & CPR Certification. High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development Certification. 2 years experience in day camp Complete the in-house trainingQualifications Demonstrated aptitude and passion for delivering an exceptional and engaging camp experience. Previous childminding experience is required with preference given to those who possess day campexperience and/or experience delivering youth-targeted recreational programming. Ability to demonstrate exceptional leadership capabilities, strong customer service, organizational,communication, and problem-solving skills.
