Job Description

We also offer company paid uniforms and part-time and flexible schedules!POSITION: Security Professionals - Team Lead (Non-Union)LOCATION: GM CAMI Assembly (Ingersoll, ON)PAY: $25.47/hrSHIFT: Full Time- Temporary- Rotating Days, Afternoons, Nights, Weekdays; Some weekends may be requiredQUALIFICATIONS:

  • Read, write and speak in English with comprehension skills sufficient to compose clear and concise written reports and read and understand rules, regulations, policies and similar instructions
  • Possess a valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Certified in first aid/CPR
  • Valid driver’s license issued by the Province of Ontario that has not been suspended or otherwise restricted and maintain a satisfactory driving record;
  • Poised, tactful and diplomatic and have the ability to make decisions and exercise good judgment under stress and in emergency situations;
  • Have working knowledge of various computer software packages including access control, CCTV and fire systems
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Reports directly to the Senior Security and Fire Chief, indirectly to the Fire Chief and liaises with Allied Universal and client management.
  • Can perform all of the duties and responsibilities of all of the other security positions listed herein with the exception of the Fire Prevention Supervisor
  • Assesses staffing levels to ensure they are adequate to meet daily work objectives
  • Maintains security personnel schedules
  • Orders security supplies as required and directed
  • Completes incident reports when required and reviews incident reports from the security team members prior to submission to the client
  • Provides instruction to the security team members on how to perform their duties and responsibilities and monitors performance
  • Informs Senior Security and Fire Chief of all significant issues that arise during each production shift
  • Ensures compliance and adherence to all client policies, procedures, work instructions and established practices relating to the performance of the Services
  • Clarifies safety issues for the security team members and modifies their work habits to ensure compliance where required
  • Recommends changes to procedures relating to the Services as appropriate
  • Ensures cross shift communication takes place with incoming shift
  • Ensures completion of assignments given
  • Ensures compliance with the provisions of the collective agreement, if any, that affects the Services performed by
  • Develops, implements, and ensures completion of work plans undertaken by the contractor
  • Verifies, cut keys and changes lock cores in accordance with clients key control procedures
  • Responds to all emergency calls
  • Opens the emergency operations center in accordance with clients Emergency Response Plan
  • Assumes the incident commander role in accordance with clients Emergency Response until transfer of the incident command duties can be transferred to a designated CAMI employee
  • Responds to and investigate all security and emergency response related incidents.
  • Trains and mentors’ probationary security personnel in their specific duties and provides a final assessment report to the contractor’s head office
  • Changes the CAMI safety road signs (incoming/outgoing) as required
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities that may be required as per Senior Security and Fire Chief and Fire Chief.
